The Experience

Everything that makes Arctic Norway unforgettable

One trip, one guide, one van — five signature Arctic experiences woven into a relaxed 10-day loop out of Tromsø.

Whale Watching

Boat safaris in the fjords around Skjervøy / Kvænangen to spot orcas and humpback whales feeding on winter herring — one of the most reliable whale encounters on Earth.

Northern Lights

Multiple dedicated aurora-hunting nights away from city lights, chasing clear skies across Tromsø's islands, Senja and Lyngen — with hot drinks and camera tips included.

Tromsø Sightseeing

Guided walk through the "Paris of the North" — Arctic Cathedral, harbour, Fjellheisen cable car viewpoint, and the old wooden town centre.

Van Road Trip

Travel together in one heated, 4x4-equipped van through fjords, coastal roads and mountain passes — no rental logistics, no driving stress, just the view.

Guided the Whole Way

One dedicated guide with you from day one to day ten — route planning, safety, local knowledge and hands-on outdoor experience, not a rotating cast of drivers.

Small Group, Real Comfort

Capped at 8 guests so everyone gets a window seat, personal attention, and a flexible itinerary that can bend for good weather or a whale sighting.

Reindeer & Moose

Reindeer herds and the occasional moose are a regular sight along the drive — especially at dawn and dusk in the quieter valleys between stops.

Your Guide

Not a tour company. One guide who actually lives this.

I'll be with you for the full 10 days — planning the route, driving the van, reading the weather for aurora and whale conditions, and keeping the group safe on ice, snow and open water. This isn't a side job: it's built on years spent working and playing in exactly this kind of terrain.

  • "5 years as icebreaker captain — professional experience commanding a vessel through polar ice, reading sea and weather conditions in genuinely harsh Arctic environments."
  • "Skier — comfortable moving on snow and ice in the mountains, and happy to point out (or join) a good off-piste line if conditions allow."
  • "Mountaineer — trained and experienced in mountain travel, terrain assessment and outdoor safety, from glaciers to steep hiking trails."
  • "Paraglider pilot — a genuine feel for wind, weather and the Arctic sky, which comes in handy when we're chasing clear nights for the aurora."

Group size is deliberately capped at 8 so I can actually guide, not just herd — I want everyone on this trip, not just watch it from a bus window.
